Minecraft fish farm

This build is in Java edition 1.21.8.

In this build we will look at how to build a fish farm. This is a very simple build that can either be run manually or automatic depending on if you play in Java.

This build simply works by throwing your fishing rod at the trapdoor. This will then open the trapdoor and allow your rod to start fishing. When a fish is caught the trapdoor will close placing the fish in the chest. To make this farm automatic you need to be using Java, hold the right mouse button in and press f3 and T at the same time.

Fish can be used for a number of reasons these include –

  1. Food source – fish are a good source of food.
  2. Brewing ingredient – pufferfish are used as a brewing ingredient.
  3. Trading – fisherman villagers may trade emeralds for fish.
  4. Taming and breeding – raw cod or salmon can be used to tame cats.
  5. Decoration – use tropic al fish in aquariums for decorations.

When fishing you can also catch –

  1. Fish.
  2. Treasure – Enchanted books, name tags, nautilus shell, saddles, enchanted bows and enchanted fishing rods.
  3. Junk.

These are the ingredients and recipes that you will need to make this build. Please ensure that you have all of the ingredients before you start your build.
