Minecraft villager farms

These are the best crop farms that are available in Minecraft. A fully automated farm that will keep you in food for the entirety of your play through in Minecraft. These farms can only be built a distance of 100 blocks from a village. When building these farms you will need 2 villagers to control the farms. These farms are very difficult to build and are also prone to have problems down the line when they have been working for a while. One of the biggest problems with these farms is to get the villagers from the village to your base. Their are many ways that you can achieve this, you can use boats Minecarts to transport your villagers. This section will describe how to build these farms.

Villager bread farm

Wheat is one of the main staples in Minecraft. It is used for many things including crafting foodstuff for the player as well as leading an d breeding a number of animals. Wheat can be used as source for food for the player, you can make bread that is a great source of food for yourself. This is made by placing three pieces of wheat into a crafting table and this will make one loaf of bread. Wheat is also used for crafting cakes and cookies. Wheat is used to breed cows, sheep, goats and mooshrooms, these can also be lead using wheat. It is also used to tame and heal horses and llamas.

Carrots in Minecraft are a great source of food. Raw carrots restore 3hunger points and 3.6 saturation. You can also turn carrots into golden carrots. This is done by crafting 8 golden nuggets and 1 carrot. Golden carrots restore 6 hunger and 14.4 saturation points making them one of the best food items in the game. Carrots can be used for breeding and leading pigs and rabbits and can be used to make villagers willing to breed. You can make a carrot on a stick that will enable you to control a pig that has a saddle on for you to ride.

Lets now take a brief look at potatoes, potatoes in their raw form are not a good source of food for the player. When potatoes are placed into a furnace they become baked potatoes. This then is great food source for the player that restore 5 hunger points and offer solid saturation. Potatoes are also used to lead and breed pigs in the same way as carrots are used. Potatoes are a solid choice if you are making bonemeal, raw potatoes offer a 65% chance of raising the compost level and a baked potato gives an 85% chance of raising the compost level.

The next crop we will look at is beetroot. Beetroot is a terrible source of food for the player. Beetroots main use is to craft other items with it. You can make beetroot soup that is a much better food source than raw beetroot. This is made with 6 beetroot and 1 bowl. This will restore 6 hunger points and 7.2 saturation. Beetroot is also used to make red dye that can be used to dye banners, beds and decorative builds. You can use beetroot to breed and lead pigs like you would with carrots and potatoes.

The final one here is bread. This is unusual as you plant wheat but you receive bread. This is because villager mechanics make it so that villagers can only pass food items they can eat between them. This means that when the farmer villager harvest wheat they will craft it into bread before they throw it to the other villager.
